Life's a Garden Scrapbook Page Feat. CCC 147

Image
Hey Hey Crafty Gems! I have a fun 12x12 scrapbook layout to show you all using CCC 147 along with Ginny the Gardener Stamp #386. First off I gotta give props to Missy Widden! I saw this layout created by her a few weeks ago and completely fell in love with it! I followed the begining of her YouTube video and the background, but went my own way on the embellishments and photos. I colored my stamped images with alcohol markers (as usual 🤪) and grabbed some scrap papers that matched. I cut 'em down to 3inches across and ripped the bottoms to around 4ish inches. After gluing them down, I grabbed my sewing machine and went around the edges of each.  Then I added some gesso to the background, and a little to the patterned papers. When that was dry, I pulled out my watercolors and splashed coral, green, and light purple on the background and over the patterned papers. Then it was time to embellish! I mounted my photos of my new flower beds and pots on white cardstock to make them s...

St. Patrick's Day SVG

Image
Hey there Crafty Gems! I hope your St Patrick's Day is going swell and is full of luck! To celebrate I created a little gift bucket for my son with some fun little goodies and decorated it with an SVG I designed! It was so easy and fun to put together *cough *cough this morning, that I wanted to share it with you guys! Click Here to download the SVG! *I currently only know how to share my SVG's via Cricut Design Space, so if you know how I can take it from there and share it so anyone with a cutting machine can it, I would be so thankful if you commented below!

St Patrick's Day Memorydex Card

Image
Hey hey, Crafty Gems! Can you believe that we're half way through March already?! And that means Spring is just around the corner! 🎉🥳🎉  Because I'm already in the Springtime mode, I decided to make a St. Patrick's Day themed Memory Dex Card using the Creepy Cute Chronicles Friday Free Stamp #143 from Oddball Art Co along with the March 2021 Exclusive Stamp , and January 2019 Exclusive Stamps. I colored up my images with alcohol markers and used a Color Shine and a Dyelusions spray on my mem-dex card. Next, I grabbed a few stamps and Ivy ink pad and stamped randomly around the card. I also tried to use a baby wipe through a polkadot stencil, with little effect. While the card was drying, I went through my stash of fussy cut items from different Crate Paper collections in my stash, and gave white highlights to my colored elements. Once my card was dry, I added another layer of cardstock to the back and sewed around the edges. After that, I added yet another layer of patt...

Get Your Mojo Back with Oddball Stamps and Challenges

Image
Hey Crafty Gems! I hope all is well! I'm sorry I haven't posted many projects lately; Life just keeps throwing me curve balls. Fortunately, this week I've felt pretty good and I've been itching to get back into my crafty mess! Perfect timing, too, because Oddball Stamps is hosting a fun slump busting challenge over on the website! This week's challenge is 7 ATC's in 7 Days . I'm a bit behind, but I'm still super eager to join in and get my creative juices flowing. I started by prepping a Push Ups icecream box with Gesso, wall texture, and matte medium for all 7 of my cards. This, watercolor and Oddball Stamps, are literally the only things I really repeat on each ATC. There are different jumping off points for each of the 7 days so I don't want to worry myself trying to make them coordinate, nor did I want to prep a card each day. So, Day 2's prompt is "Smash Something" which is perfect because my running resolution is to use up my stas...

Fall Scrapbooking Page Featuring OddBall Art Stamps

Image
Hey Craft Gems! I have a fun Fall scrapbooking page to share with y'all using OddBall Art Stamps #405 Pumpkin Stack as well as Creepy Cute Chronicles edition  CCC 132 Thankful and Cozy Gwendolyn along with a few leaves from CCC 131 . I grabbed some scraps that matched my colored stamps and layered them up behind my photos, along with a tag and some stamped and fussy cut labels.  I felt like the layout needed more black to balance the paper I had chose for the top of the page, so I grabbed some washi and added it to my clusters only on the woodgrain paper. I also added a little bit of thread and cork to each cluster to add a few more types of textures.  I knew my journaling wasn't going to fit on that little lable I found so I just added the date to it and journaled on the background paper.  I topped it off with a few enamel dots and called it finished. I love the cozy, farmy, Fall vibes the layout gives off. Make sure to sign up to the Creepy Cute Chronicles to c...

Giant Embellished Autumn Envelope

Image
Hey there Crafty Gems! Have you checked out the latest editions to the Creepy Cute Chronicles  from Oddballartco ? With so many awesome character images coming out lately it's so easy to put together cool scenes! I used the November Exclusive image as well as CCC #131 Crisp Leaves and Stamp #523 Creepy Cute Cafe colored with alchohol markers to embellish a giant envelope I created with cardstock and lined with thin scrapbooking paper. I then inked around the edges of the envelope with brown ink.  After that I took it to my sewing machine and stitched the edges with a gold and a brown thread together. I love the way it came out, but I do recommend going slowly with your machine if you're using two threads. When I printed out the Cafe, I copied the awning and printed it a second time. After coloring it up I layered it on the top in the cafe with a little bit of foam tape to give it some dimension.  I then went to my stash of doilies and grabbed a teal one and a gold...

October Daily Day 2 with Oddball Art Stamps

Image
Hey there Crafty Gems!  Now that Spooky Month has wrapped up, I'm beginning to add photos and embellishments to my October Daily junk journal for 2020. The 2nd is my son's birthday and he's just as spooky obsessed as I am, so I made him some orange coloured pancakes for breakfast and decorated his homeschooling space to celebrate!  Serendipitously, this weeks Edition of the Creepy Cute Chronicles is this adorable the Maple Monster, along with syrup and leaves, so I had to use them on this pancake page! I colored my monster, syrup and pancakes (from a Stampabilities set from Hobby Lobby) with colored pencils and fussy cut them out. I tried to use coloured pencils for the leaves but I couldn't get the right blending I was looking for so i decided to wet the whole leaves section and bloop Autumn colors around to give the leaves a perfect mid-change effect. After fussy cutting out the leaves, I grabbed some stamped labels from my stash and did a border of stitching around ...
